DEKALB, Illinois -- A gunman dressed in black stepped from behind a curtain at the front of a large lecture hall at Northern Illinois University on Thursday and shot 21 people, five of them fatally, then shot and killed himself, said university president John Peters.

There seems to be one of these happening every month now. I haven't seen anything on the news about it all day since the presidential crap is top priority now.

I heard of this on the news tonight. So sad and as you said, it seems to be happening too much lately. I guess we will never know why he did this.

I am getting sick of hearing about the elections and seeing Bush's face on the news.

I don't understand what these idiots are trying to prove. If they wanna kill themselves, fine. They should do it alone and not harm anyone else (physically) in the process.

My feeling is that there is a lack of parental supervision in their earlier years or that maybe they were neglected and wound up in the wrong place mentally. I know many who were neglected and abused that never did this though, so, I really don't know.....

I never had supervision then and I still don't now. Good thing I rarely come in contact with humans.
