I just heard on the TV that Patrick Swayze is battling pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is a hideous and excruciating forms of cancer and I do not know of anyone who has survived it. This is the same cancer that Michael Landon had and we all know how he suffered. I hope he beats this thing.

Well, the last I heard he was responding well. Had 3 bouts of chemo and there is no indication that it had spread. However, the longest anyone has survived with pancreatic cancer--I believe I heard was 5 years. He and his family are in my prayers.

Well, the power of prayer is strong and I will be keeping him on prayer also.

Michael Landon was taken from us almost before we had a chance to say goodby. However there have been so many advances in cancer research since then, it's unbelievable. Someday, hopefully, this terrible disease will be beaten at last.
