I have been working with this dog at work named "Wild Dog Davis". When he came to us, he had a really bad case of tick paralysis. I have worked with him every day for the past 2 weeks. First I gave him a real good bath and got rid of all the fleas and ticks. Then I made friends with him. He never had any human contact until me. Then Every morning i floated him in the tub and helped him move his limbs around and in our afternoons i supported him outside to help him gain his balance. ...

1) Mondegreens

Mondegreens are mishearings of words, typically songs or popular phrases. They were coined by writer Sylvia Wright in the 1950's when, as a child, she misheard the Scottish ballad 'The Bonny Earl of Murray':

Ye Highlands, and ye Lawlands

Oh where have you been?

They have slain the Earl of Murray,

And Lady Mondegreen. (this line should read 'And they layd him on the green')

Popular examples of Mondegreens:

When Phoebe from Friends is asked what her favorite ...

Well, there seems to be some confusion here. the media is portraying Iraq as a place where no one wants the U.S. (they also seem to forget that other countries are there too). But, the troops (most of them at least) are saying that the majority of the people there are glad that they (the troops) are there. The media claims that the Iraqi government doesn't want us there, but a recent article shows otherwise.

Quote:Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, briefing Iraqi lawmakers following his ...

APPLES & WINE

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy.

The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top ...
