| Who do you think will win the bid for Republican Candidate and who do you think will win the bid for Democratic Candidate? I think McCain is going to win the bid for Republican candidate and I am not sure yet who will win the bid for Democratic candidate yet. | |

| I'm guessing it will be McCain and hopefully the lovely Mrs. Clinton. If Obama makes it, then I don't know what will happen. | |

| After last night it looks like McCain for the Republicans. I would guess that Hillary will nudge out Obama for the Democratic nomination.
In November I think it will be McCain over Hillary by a small margin which then sets up a McCain vs. Obama race in 2012.

| If that be the case, then we will have another four years of a Republican leadership, pretty much anyway. - Spoiler:

| Romney dropped out of the race for the Republican bid, so I know now McCain definitely will win the bid as Republican candidate for President in 2008. I don't see how Huckabee could catch enough votes and things and such. I wonder who will be his running mate (for Vice President)? Does anyone know or have an educated or uneducated guess? - Spoiler:

| No clue at all. I've only been paying a little bit of attention to the Democratic races. I don't care who becomes our next president as long as it isn't you know who. | |

| I can't believe how well the non-white guy is doing. We might as well kill ourselves in advance if he has any chance at becoming president. | |

| Two possible VP runnng mates for John McCain that come to mind are Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut who was a Democrat and is now an Independent. The other is a really smart Republican Senator from Nebraska named Chuck Hagel. He is retiring from the Senate the end of this year. Either of them would make a good running mate. | |

| I think it is quite obvious that McCain will be the republican candidate for President. As for his running mate, I still do not know, its any body's guess at this point in time.
As for Democratic candidate there are still a few big primaries to get through, Ohio, TX, Wisconsin, Hawaii and I forget the other state. I think if Hillery can win Ohio and TX she still may have a chance. As for a Democratic running mate, we have to wait and see who wins the nomination for Presidential candidate.

| The other large primary I think is Pennsylvania which is in April I believe. The last I heard Hillary was leading big time in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
The reason why Obama and Hillary are so close in the delegate race is that in the Democratic primary the delegates are awarded proportionately according to the popular vote.
It looks like it's going to be a close race all the way to the convention. It will be interesting to watch them attack and try to destroy each other over the next several months.

| Huckabee dropped out of the race for Republican nominee, so, it will be McCain as the Republican candidate for President. I am projecting that Hillary wins the primaries in Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas and Vermont giving her the votes she needed to over take Obama, making her the Democratic candidate for president. This will be the BIG win she needed to get back her lead over Obama. Either way, I project that McCain will be out next president. | |

| As long as the brown guy doesn't win...I don't care much for who becomes the next president. It's always broken promises no matter who wins. | |

| It appears the candidates always make such great promises and then when they get into office, they suffer from some sort of memory lapse. It seems to be a disease that affects all candidates. | |

| Huckabee's dropping out was for the best as there was such a huge gap in the number of votes, he didn't stand a chance. McCain is THE Republican candidate for President, that is for certain, there are no more in the running. I also feel he will be out next president. | |

Both would be excellant choices. Also, I think Condi Rice would be a good "political" choice. She would offset both Obama as well as Hillary.

At this rate, it would appear that McCain doesn't need to do anything. Just let them destroy themselves in the continued attacks leading all the way up to the convention. Then he can step in and pick up the pieces in November.

| People are still pushing for an Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama ticket. Do you think, after all the recent attacks that is still a possibility or just wishful thinking? | |

| My opinion is that it is just wishful thinking at this time. The rift between the two is just too great. | |

| No joke. Each one has made so many negative claims against the other that if one of them did take the VP slot, they'd never have a legitimate career in politics again. | |

| Looks like it will be Obama for the Democrats. I don't think either can get the required delegates to make them the automatic candidate and Obama is quickly closing the gap on super delegates.
I don't claim a party (I tend to vote for the lesser of the 2 evils most of the time so I tend to vote Republican more often because I see them as the less evil most of the time, but I have no objections to voting for Democrats as I have in the past). In this race, it is my opinion (and feel free to take it as that, just my opinion) that if the U.S. is to have any future as a country McCain is the only real choice (unfortunately).
As for a Clinton/Obama ticket, Ted Kennedy (The Godfather of the Democratic Party) has already stated that will not happen.

| I claim a party so that I can vote in the primaries, but, when I get in the voting booth, I am strictly independent, I vote for who my conscience feels is the best person for the job and at this point I am not happy with any of the choices. I agree that Hillary will not be the Democratic candidate and no way will there ever be a Obama/Clinton ticket.

| What is amusing though, is that even though Obama is leading in the delegate count, there are lots of folks on the message boards that are calling for him to drop out of the race. | |

| Well, I feel the "leak" that he is a Muslim has hindered him even though this is not a fact, but, people hear something, want to believe it and thus it goes...human nature I guess. So many are against Obama because they think he is lying when he says he is NOT Muslim, so, they do not trust him based on a rumor.
Now, on the other hand, if Obama wasn't caught in so many lies, maybe more would believe him. I don't know.
